We met while attending the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and got married on November 27, 2002, at the Presidio of Monterey. Holly left the Army in September of 2003 while pregnant with our first child. Lewis was trained as a Korean linguist in the Army and stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Our first child, Benjamin (Ben) was born in 2003 and Arianna (Anna) followed soon after in 2005. Lewis served with the 101st Airborne for three and a half years including two combat deployments to Iraq. In July of 2007, we said goodbye to Clarksville, Tennessee, and moved to San Angelo, Texas, where Lewis was assigned as a military instructor. It was there that our third child, Gwen (Rose) was born in 2008. After 15 short months in Texas, Lewis left the US Army and the family moved to the Charlottesville, Virginia, area.
Currently, Lewis is continuing his work with the government as a civilian and Holly is a stay-at-home mom.
